Instructions
Step 1: Sketching and Barrel Design
Begin by sketching out the structure.
Select a pen tube with a suitable spring inside and design the main launching barrel.
Step 2: Making the Web Projectile
Wrap a slim wooden craft stick with white paper and attach the sewing thread to it to create a projectile.
Attach other end of the thread to the base of the storage tube to keep the thread continuous during launch.
Step 3: Casing and Components
Using cardboard, build the outer shape. (You can design your own shape here)
Fix both the launching tube and a separate web storage tube inside the box.
Step 4: Building the Trigger
Craft a T-shaped trigger using an ice cream stick.
Reinforce sides with paper strips to make it longer.
Install trigger at the bottom of the box which will temporarily block or release the tube’s opening when pressed.
Step 5: Creating the Wrist Strap
Fold paper strips to make two wristbands.
Glue one side to underside of the box
Fit the other side of strip with Velcro for easy wearing.
Step 6: Final Assembly and Decoration
Decorate the top with a logo using carved color-paper.
The result: a cool, homemade web shooter!
